These are the moments I think of you

the spaces

            in between time,

 

pockets of atoms, shadows

of seconds that fill up the half pauses.

 

            That catch

in the throat, the motes

of dust that

            cascade

                        in shafts of sun, languidly

drifting in

and out.          

 

You exist in between

the prism of light

 

and shade, the sparks

of seconds shot through fabric

 

that dance

           

            in semi-quavers. A sharp

 

staccato now drumming

in a once

            quiet heart.
